Haven: Book Review
I wanted to write a short and sweet review, because of what I’ve seen from other people who have reviewed this book. Okay, Okay. I know that wasn’t a well structured sentence… but I feel so many people here have missed the mark on what A.R. Ivanovich was trying to accomplish with this series.
This book was so much fun! It was an imaginative balance between medieval and steampunk (one of my favorite genres)- and the world could not have been more engaging. My only personal draw back is connecting with high school aged protagonists- but Ivanovich still gripped me quickly, regardless. The foundation of the story is what drew me in. Her world building was fantastic. It was detailed, but not overly drawn out. I loved her militia/political systems and the grueling challenges that the characters faced because of them.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a light, well rounded book. It is sweet, fast paced, action packed, and it had just enough romance.
A. R. Ivanovich, you make me want to write a book 😉
